Languages we speak

We offer our services in English and Polish. We are happy to discuss working with interpreters; just let us know!

Travel requirements

Depending on your citizenship, requirements may be different. Please refer to the Government of Canada website for information:

Age and waiver requirements

Due to the potentially long days and demanding conditions, to ensure this is an educational and enjoyable experience for everyone, we require participants to be 18 years of age or older. All participants will be required to sign our standard waiver on the first day of the photography tour.

Equipment requirements

You may have noticed that most of our photos on this site have been taken with professional cameras. Ready for some great news? You can take stunning images like these with many consumer DSLR/mirrorless cameras too! In fact, most of the process is about technique and mastering manual mode, not equipment. During your adventure, we will teach you the techniques that we use, so you can use them with your own camera.

Weather conditions

Weather in the mountains can be a little unpredictable, so we recommend you bring comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers. The mornings can be cool and rain is always a possibility. The temperature in the summer months (May – June) can range from 2ºC – 25ºC (31ºF – 82ºF).

There will be limited access to cellular services; as such, you may not be able to access the Internet, Facebook, Twitter, etc. As a result, you will have more time to enjoy the spectacular scenery that will surround you.

While Banff and Jasper are in the middle of some of the best scenery you will ever see, they also offer some absolutely fantastic places to eat. Please let us know if you have dietary needs and we will do our best to do the legwork for you and let you know what options are available.

Data & privacy

While organizing your adventure photography tour, we work closely with our partners and companies such as hotels, transportation, and Parks Canada. To ensure we have everything planned and organized, we must share some of your information with our partners and companies. Please know that we only share the information as required and we never sell information to third parties.

Keeping in touch

After signing up for an adventure photo tour, we will keep your email address on file to keep you up to date with news about our new offers. Don’t worry; it’s easy to opt out if you are not interested in getting updates (we respect your inbox)!

Liability waiver

When you sign up to attend a workshop with Canadian Photo Adventures Inc., you agree that you have read and understand the following:

If you join us for an adventure, please understand that you are responsible for your own preparedness and well-being and will hold no one else liable in case of injury.

You agree not to hold the instructors, Canadian Photo Adventures Inc., or any other members responsible for any injuries that may happen during an adventure tour hosted by Canadian Photo Adventures Inc. This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated, and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss, and liability. You are responsible to research the event and bring proper gear.

Canadian Photo Adventures Inc. does not provide liability insurance for the protection of individuals who may participate in any of the events planned by Canadian Photo Adventures Inc.

Your attendance at one of our adventure tours signifies that you have read and accept the terms of this liability waiver. By signing up for any event, you understand that you are attending all events at your own risk.

NOTE: For 1, 3 and 6 day adventures, we require each participant to sign a standard liability waiver (available upon request). Please note that for adventures where we partner with 3rd parties (ex: Polar Bear adventures), you will be required to also submit a standard liability waiver specific to their terms and conditions.
